How to Generate SIF Report using OpenHRMS WPS Report Generation Module

Many modules are there in OpenHRMS. Payroll is one such module where it operates with excellent features and tools. WPS is an end-to-end solution for processing wages. With the help of WPS, we can fund salaries and transfer salaries using different payment methods. It supports workflow management. It offers accounting services and payroll solutions. This blog will discuss the WPS Report Generation for UAE feature available in Open HRMS.

WPS means Wage Protection System, and it will ensure that employees receive their salaries on time. It is a module in OpenHRMS where we can handle the contributions of each employee. With the help of WPS Report Generation, we can generate reports in XLSM format. To create the salary information of the employees, one can rely on this module. Install this module from the app store. Before the usage of WPS, make sure some of the modules like Payroll, Invoicing and XLSX are installed in the system.

Let's look at some of the steps needed to generate a WPS report for the UAE.

Firstly go to the OpenHRMS App store. There we can see lots of OpenHRMS modules. Install WPS Report Generation module into the database. We can search for the required module by using the searching box or Filters. And locate the module, which is shown in the below diagram.

The next step is to go to the Payroll module. GO -> PAYROLL module.

The payroll module in the system is integrated with WPS Report Generation for UAE. So when we install this module in the database, we can see a menu will appear, and that is called SIF.

The above screenshot depicts the XLSX format, where you can create salary information for a particular month by using this menu. The next step is to update some information in the employee and company forms. As mentioned in the screenshot above, this menu will allow you to configure salary information for a particular month in XLSX format. In the employee form, you will get new fields called Employee Card Number, Salary Card Number/ Account Number, and Agent/Bank.

In the above screenshot, fill the corresponding areas such as the Employee Card Number, Salary Card Number, Account number, etc. In the company form, we can see a new field called Employer ID.

The next step is to create is to generate WPS reports for payslips. GO -> payroll module. To create a new SIF, click the SIF menu.

To generate SIF, mention the Start date and End date of the report which is shown in the image below.

Once we enter the Start Date and End Date, Based on the Start Date and End Date, the Days of Payment and Month of Salary will be automatically updated in the corresponding fields. To obtain the salary report, press  ‘Print xlsx’. And we will get this report in XLSX format.

Finally, we will obtain the WPS report as displayed in the image above. You can locate EDR and SCR in the report. The EDR describes the Employee Detail Record which exhibits data of every employee. The entire salary competitiveness ratio can be observed in the SCR. The report also displays the details of the employee card number, salary card number or account number, start and end date, the computed salary of the particular employee, currency value, and the total of leaves in the EDR session. The Salary Competitiveness Ratio field consists of the information on the employee card number, date and time of the report generation, total computed salary, and corresponding currency.
